Students will receive their time slot approximately two-three weeks before the event. Teachers nominate students by Friday, January 8th, 2021 at 11:59 P.M. This is an opportunity to include your advanced students as well as your dedicated students who may not have normally participated in All County.įees can be paid through BOCES Arts in Ed and are aid-able. Students will be assigned a workshop time based on school grade and ability level. Sessions will run approximately 60 – 90 minutes. Students will be assigned a specific time slot. All music students are eligible to participate in this festival. This year the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) Solo Music Festival will be held virtually. If you would like to audit a workshop, click HERE. THE NYSSMA MUSIC FESTIVAL STUDENT LETTER. Teachers may audit these workshops at no cost. All students will be evaluated on sight-reading skills in addition to select scales and a nyssma solo piece.

Repertoire preparation: NYSSMA solos, school ensemble literature, and more! What: Interactive personalized workshops tailored to ability level of students. Students are encouraged to perform during these workshops, but they may also audit. NYSSMA participation is not a prerequisite.
